Of the Seven Deadly Sins : Lust
I know what's forbidden.
I see the line, drawn inevitably in sand.
The wind where caution is thrown
Will smooth the line away
Until recklessness will break me.
So hard to control.
I see things I was never meant to see.
I say things I was never meant to say
To anyone else.
My words become empty lies when
I make promises to you
And others share.
But oh, is it worth it.
To be loved.
And not just loved, but desired.
When did the straight and narrow
Become the broadened way?
When did my eyes start roaming
And searching for faces to remember
At night, when I lie alone.
Darkness holds me, me and my thoughts.
It can't be helped,
Even when I know it's forbidden.
Human nature:
Bare skin against bare skin,
Biting teeth, hungry whispers,
It craves it.
Satisfaction.
Guarding your heart
Is far easier said than done
For where do we know to begin?
To deny what is needed
Is to deny being human.
It will kill me in the end.
